Let’s say I am working on a project with 5 members of my
team. Each is assigned a task they are
working on, but some new information has come to light that will affect many of
the tasks they are currently working on.
I need to speak with them quickly for 10 minutes, but several of them
are currently busy or on another call.
What are my options?
I could try to schedule a Skype for Business meeting and hope everyone
has some upcoming calendar availability before they get too far along on their
assigned tasks. I could sit and watch
their statuses and hope to get a window when they are all available for a quick
call, or I could try to send each of them a message and hope they see it in
time.
With SQUAT from Bridge Communications I can automate this
process. I can search for users, add
them to my selected list, and even save that group for future SQUATs. I can add some call notes, so when everyone
is available I will get a quick refresher of the topic before starting the
call. When I am ready to continue I
simply click Begin SQUAT.
SQUAT goes into action completely in the background while I
continue my work. When all my selected
users are available it plays a sound, and gives me a desktop notification. I simply review the notes, and click YES to begin
the SQUAT.
From here a conference call is immediately started with
everyone from my team I selected in the SQUAT settings page, and we can deal
with the urgent issue, saving a ton of lost work, and scheduling hassle.
The SQUAT feature is now available in both the Bridge
Operator Console and Bridge Boss-Admin Executive console for Skype for
Business. Users can create SQUAT lists
or use existing Skype for Business Client groups, or even active directory
departments.
